Job Description
Do you have previous experience in operational leadership and process development, and do you want to take on a key role in an exciting growth company with a start-up feel? At Randstad, we are looking for an engaged and hands-on Interim Daily Operations Manager for a consultancy assignment with our client in Gothenburg. Here you will have the opportunity to combine your strategic mindset with close-to-business leadership, while becoming part of a global employer.
This is a consultancy assignment via Randstad where you will work on-site at our client's premises, an expanding limited company that operates in close collaboration with academia and functions as a research institute. The company is in a strong growth phase and is characterized by a dynamic start-up feel where change, development, and process improvements are a natural part of everyday life.
As an Interim Daily Operations Manager, you have overall responsibility for daily operations and operational personnel responsibility for smaller lab groups. You are expected to be very "hands-on" and thrive on independently handling tasks throughout the chain. At the same time, you step into the management group, which requires you to look up and contribute a strategic and business perspective on the future development of the operations.
In the role of Daily Operations Manager, you have a broad and varied responsibility ranging from strategic management group issues to practical daily tasks:
- Leadership & Personnel: Operational personnel responsibility for smaller lab groups, including workplace environment responsibility, labor law issues, onboarding, and capacity planning for the relevant labs.
- Process Development: Building, structuring, documenting, and continuously improving operational processes, working methods, and routines in a rapidly growing environment.
- Collaboration & Agreements: Acting as a clear link and bridge between operations, employees, management, and external partners. You handle ongoing agreements and agreement processes with cooperation organizations within the higher education sector.
- Purchasing & IT: Develop and implement routines for purchasing in accordance with the Public Procurement Act (LOU), as well as coordinate needs related to IT and system support for digital processes.
- Strategic Contribution: Sit on the management group and add an operational and business perspective to the development of the company's lab portfolio.
To succeed in the role, you are a secure, relationship-building, and driving leader who thrives in environments with high change velocity. You have excellent communication skills, are open-minded and unpretentious, and combine structure with a solution-oriented approach.
The assignment is full-time with a start as soon as possible after the holiday period. The contract end date is set to 2027-08-31, which means a assignment length of approximately one year, with good opportunities for extension. A one-month mutual notice period applies to the assignment. Since the role requires high presence in the operations, you are based at the office in Johanneberg, with a general requirement for physical presence on-site.
As this is a role bordering on the public sector, we require you to clearly state how you meet the requirements below so that we can move you forward in the process. If this role sounds interesting, apply today!
